Adult and Teen Bird Migration Zine Making

Free Nature Journaling Zine Workshop: Bird Migration
Join us at the QueensLanding Environmental Education Center for a hands-on zine-making workshop that blends art and science!

Discover bird migration and learn how you can help protect these incredible travelers—all while creating your own bird-themed zine. Scientific illustrator Monica Schroeder will guide you through the process of folding, cutting, and drawing with pencils & markers. We'll explore storyboarding and discuss narrative and visual flow.

The workshop kicks off with a short 10-minute slideshow on bird migration, then we’ll dive into art-making. You’ll also have the option to create a Nature Journal page.

All skill levels are welcome, and art supplies are provided!

Materials Provided:

  • Mixed media paper

  • Fineline markers

  • Scissors

This event is designed for adults, but those 14+ are welcome with an adult.

Please register through our Eventbrite.
